AUTHOR'S NOTE: CONTAINS SPOILERS!

> 8,000,000,000 BGM ----- Solos forms in the Milky Way Galaxy, 3 billion years before Sol (the sun of Earth) a white star with thirteen planets. Among these are proto-Reptos, proto-Aenya, and the gas giant Infinity. As the rocky planets cool, the first microorganisms emerge, giving rise to Life. On Aenya, she will come to be known as the Goddess.

> 100,000 BGM --------------- Early Aenya is covered with oceans and tropical forests. In this environment, a hairless child is born to an ape-like creature. This "naked" child can shed heat more efficiently and run longer than any other animal. With weapons made of wood and obsidian, she becomes the greatest hunter on the planet. Her name is Ilma, and she is the first proto-human. Migrating quickly about the planet, the early proto-humans are hunters, gatherers, and farmers. They build fire, make simple domiciles of mud-brick, and use atlatls and throwing spears. Around the same time, the amphibious merquid species starts to build elaborate cities of coral beneath the oceans. [PoA]

> 10,100 BGM ---------------- On Reptos, the planet closest to Solos, the "Forgotten," or Xexaz, reach the pinnacle of scientific and philosophical development. But as the centuries pass, the Xexaz become apathetic and slothful and are conquered by the less advanced reptilian race, the Septhera[AoA]

10,000 – 9000 BGM ------ Solos begins to expand into a red giant, subsuming Reptos. Using borrowed technology, the Septhera escape their doomed world, settling on the neighboring sister planet of Aenya. Merquid escape Septheran rule by hiding in their underwater cities. But the primitive ilman, or proto-human, is quickly enslaved. However, large numbers escape into the Mountains of Nimbos, evolving into the avian race, while in the Braid River Valley, the ilman remain undiscovered, keeping to their simple traditions. Thus begins the Dark Age of Man. [AoA]

9900 BGM ------------------- A slave named Batal martyrs himself while fighting a Septheran prince, inspiring mankind to rebellion against their overlords. The time-traveling historian, Eldin, who records the event, dies millennia before his birth. [AoA]

9800 BGM ----------------- After a century of warfare, the Septhera are exterminated. Humanity assembles under a new banner, calling themselves the Zo (in honor of Zoë, Goddess of Life) to form a more advanced society, and Batal's descendants become the rulers of Aenya.

9000 — 2000 BGM ------ Splendid cities spread across the world: Tennia in the East, Graton in the West, and Selnahar in the South, with
Tyrnael at the pole, within the Crown of Aenya Mountains, serving as the Zo capital. Between 2100 and 2000, the Nova Knights, the military arm of the Zo, fight to dominate the planet, and by the end of the millennium, every human yields to the new governing body, the Ascendency. [PoA]

c. 1999 — 200 BGM ------ South of the Ukko Mountains, the nation-state of Urba, with Tennia as its capital, develops into a hub of science and industry. Xexaz technology is adapted to make new inventions, including MM's (mind modules). Advancements in medicine and bio-engineering extend human lifespan to hundreds of years. [TFG]

c. 120 BGM --------------- Mathematician and historian, Eldin, becomes fascinated with filling gaps in the historical record. After discovering “strange angles in space-time,” he disappears. [AoA]

40 BGM ------------------- Philosopher and governor of Tennia, Kjus, warns the Ascendancy against excesses in technology, which he believes harmful to human identity, arguing that, “Knowledge not tempered by wisdom sows destruction.” Ignoring his warnings, the Zo elite transfer their consciousnesses into golems in an effort to achieve immortality. All the while, the lesser classes become complacent and apathetic due, in part, to rampant information pollution and mind module addiction. [AoA] [TFG]

5 — 0 BGM --------------- Solos' expansion begins to heat the planet, and Zo engineers scramble for solutions to save themselves from falling into the sun's corona. Tennia and Tyrnael evacuate much of its population through space-time portals, while Kjus and his engineers attempt to save the lower classes, and countless native species, by creating a machine at the core, the Mass Piston, to swing the planet into a more hospitable orbit. The Zo Ascendency, however, loses faith in the project and chooses, instead, to evacuate by merging into a single golem body. After a heated debate with High Counselor Kzell, Kjus refuses to join the Ascendancy's collective mind, facing the impending Cataclysm and death as a mortal man. [AoA] [TFG]

0 AGM ----------------------- Aenya is successfully moved by the Mass Piston, but tidal forces devastate the world's ecology. Passing too closely to the gas giant, Infinity, Aenya falls under its gravitational influence, becoming tidally locked. Volcanoes, earthquakes, ash, and acid rain to ravage what life remains. The Ocean evaporates, becoming the Dead Zones. The Dark Hemisphere forms, a frozen, moonlit wasteland. Humanity nears total extinction. The event comes to be known as The Great Cataclysm, and so begins the second Dark Age of Aenya. [AoA]

c. 1 AGM -------------------- The gas giant, Infinity, becomes visible in the sky. Historians mark this time as After the Greater Moon. [AoA]

c. 1 — 20 AGM -------------- Surviving the Cataclysm, Kjus’ search for simplicity leads him to Ilmarinen, a lush river valley, where he finds a people untouched by time, hidden in the caves under the Ukko Mountains. He names them Ilmar. There, he lays the foundations for the Monastery of Alashiya, preserving the wisdom of the Zo, while safeguarding the excesses of the past from those who lack the wisdom to use it. [AoA]

c. 40 AGM — 4999 AGM ---- By 40 AGM, ninety percent of all surface species perish. Mass migrations result, concentrated along the Potamis River and the one remaining great body of water, The One Sea. Humans native to the Dark Hemisphere thrive under the planet’s crust, becoming two distinct species, the bogren and the horg. Tunnels left by the Zo are repurposed into underground cities, or warrens, with vegetation cultivated by thermal venting from the core. Continuous wars break out over resources. Bogren and horg migrate from the Dark Hemisphere to clash over resources. [AoA]

78 AGM ----------------------- The descendants of Tyrnael (called Mythradanaiil by outsiders) begin to slowly rebuild amidst the ruins of their once great civilization, and a new dynasty of kings begins with Aten the I.

1480 AGM -------------------- The Red Plague devastates much of the northern hemisphere. Prince Kormin, 8th descendent of Aten, loses his wife to the disease, and after building her a great shrine, goes out in search of the fabled Land of the Dead, to retrieve his beloved from the hands of Skullgrin, god of Death. [PoA]

5000 AGM ------------------- Volcanic eruption destroys the island nation of Aea, forcing its people to evacuate. They carry with them a copy of Eldin’s history, settling along the coast of Sarnath as refugees, side by side with the peaceful merquid natives. But as the human population explodes, the amphibious race is driven, through bloodshed, from their homes and into the Sea. Hedonia is founded in the aftermath. [AoA]

6111 AGM ------------------- Princess Lumina of Tyrnael, 33rd descendent from Aten I, breaks through the space-time / reality barrier to summon a unicorn. Some call it magic, others science. The magical creature is captured, and Lumina makes the unicorn the sigil of her kingdom. [PoA]

6300 AGM ------------------ Zogbak the Wrangler's bogren armies sweep across Aenya to the Potamis River. Over a hundred villages are lost, including the fabled city-state of Kormingar. Zogbak’s rule comes to an end when a rival bogren party forms a truce with a legion of displaced Kormingans led by Jennick the Batal.

6495 AGM ---------------- From the Dark Hemisphere, Chief Bushwhack leads his bogren army into Tyrnael. Queen Theadra's six sons march to war, but all are slain. Theadra is later betrayed when her six daughters are given as a peace offering to Bushwhack. Overcome with grief, Theadra takes her own life, and her remains are spread under a tree, though legend has it that the Goddess, taking pity on her, transforms the queen into the tree. Theadra's nephew inherits the throne, continuing the family bloodline. [PoA]

7000 AGM ---------------- Barbarians ransack Hedonia, creating a mistrust of “uncivilized” peoples among the more advanced societies. The city later begins its expansion policy, based on securing its borders, subsuming other coastal states, which include Thetis and Thalassar, to form the Hedonian Empire.

7036 AGM ----------------- At Sternbrow Hill, Barda and Atan meet for the last time, to conclude a twenty-seven year civil war. Hemon the Batal is said to have fought so valiantly as to inspire a lasting truce between the rival city-states. [AoA]

8600 AGM ---------------- Northern frontiersmen fashion Hoarfrost, an immense mead hall in the Pewter Mountains. Terraced settlements grow overnight. Walls are added to defend against subhuman invaders, like bogren and horg, resulting in the formation of Northendell. [AoA]

9435 AGM ------------------ In Hedonia, First Commander Bekkhus murders the High Priest, and with his army he takes control of the city and its territories, declaring himself emperor. His reign of terror lasts nearly a decade, until his own guard kills him in his sleep, and a new High Priest is anointed. [PoA]

10,011 AGM --------------   Xandr is born.

10,035 AGM -------------- Radia Noora, 54th descendent of the Zo, assumes the throne of Aenya. [PoA]
